People PMS and /gquit.

We've been fortunate enough to only lose 2-3 people this way since Alpha, most just relax and let cooler heads prevail, anyone who just up and splits at the sign of trouble isnt someone you want in your guild =]

Blood Legionnaires is our applicant guild. Basically it gives them a temperary guild while they go through the trial process, without the ginvite spam. It also lets us communicate with them all a bit easier through gmotd and just chatting with all of them at the same time through guild chat.

What are you trying to accomplish by "splitting" your guild?

We now have many lvl 60's and alliances with other guilds to run MC successfully. We feel we need to separate the lvls 1-49 and the 50-60 so we can adaquetly run people through instances, get them prepared for MC, and eventually PvP battles.

We didn't even decide on this decision, it was more of a suggestion. Then, 10 or more people from a guild we recently merged with /gquit. Losing 10 60's has just crippled the fuck out of us. I don't think we will be able to do MC today unless other friends want to join us.

I wouldnt recommend splitting into 2 guilds by lvls, that sounds like the LoA/Saga thing. Yall accepted them into your guild, now you're stuck with em unless you kick em out :P

Just make it a requirement that people need to be lvl 60 and bite the bullet on the grandfathered ones. Splitting the guild will cause lots of chaos for you and your officers.

Well with each new person we get, that's another person we have to take into consideration to how we will take them in when they near 60 and start rushing through instances.

I should point out something to you. If you have people who are still under level 60 after the game has been out for so long, then these people aren't made for a raiding guild. Even when they finally hit 60, chances are they will not be able to raid with the guild often or will have to leave midway through a raid.

If you're intent of making a strong raiding guild, it's better for you to stop counting on them RIGHT now. There's no reason to kick them out of the guild but let them know that they shouldn't expect to be spoonfed to 60 and that chances are there won't be a spot for them in the raid in the future.

This is based of clearcutter's ideas, not a GGW one.

The issue GGW is having right now, is alt characters that are being invited to the guild excessivly that arn't being played.

I appricate the advice though Zx. heh. I hope you made it out of BRM ok yestarday :s

hehe, not sure how many times i warned that raid not to clump up but they still got bombed. TI and I think sumnus got their shit pushed in by wrath. When ever wrath is near you must spread out :o

Good luck with the alts..I hate alts ><

This happened to Blood Chalice. The other officers out voted me and split the guild in two, now we barely exist anymore.

Few suggestions:

Make a 1 ALT in guild max rule.
Do a roll call to weed out inactives.
/gremove any alt that hasn't played in 3-4 weeks.
Clearly mark alts in guild UI.
