It still lacks a basic element : No dishonor for killing Players that are easy for you to kill. So basically this whole system provides incentive not to camp/gank lowbies, but does not punish such activity. Hmm.

Isanity this probably won't be implemented until battlegrounds or close to that.

And I think this does discourage killing lowbies, although not penalizing it. Who wants to waste time killing lowbies for no points?

Blizzard has said before they really don't want to penalize people for killing other players, regardless of their level because then the PvP servers turn carebearish.

it punishes you by not allowing you to go up in the ranks of the system.. if you sit there and camp lowbies.. you aren't getting anywhere.. thus, constantly not get any honor points. it punishes them.. just in a different way.

they had real problems with the lowbie killing thing in beta, because lowbies would attack higher level chars and the higher level people couldn't fight back without getting dishonor. That's just crap.

That said, I want the shaman armor ;) crit bp with stamina and int, woo

They're going at this the wrong way. They believe that by giving great rewards for fair pvp, that this will discourage ganking. But people that continually gank, ENJOY it. That's their reward in itself.

Then they stay a nobody in the WoW community and the ppl getting ganked release and run back..wasting the gankers time. Win win imo =]

The ppl who attack lowbies for the enjoyment are the ones who would get ravaged in Battlegrounds like that guild crusade who always talk shit in /yells. I wish someone would give them a leet speak for idiots guidebook, the only thing worse than their leet speak is their pvp abilities.

Everything is pretty cool except the ranking system. You can drop levels and no longer use rewards you receive. Also, only so many people can be the upper ranks. The majority of the awesome items won't be obtainable by people who work/school, etc.....

You know what REALLY sucks? You know how you mouse over the items and the stats and all pop up? I wrote that original code for wow.WarcraftStrategy.Com. Now everyone has stolen it and proliferated it everywhere on WoW sites. You can see the original work here http://wow.warcraftstrategy.com/sg_ques ... uestId=170 (pass over the 'choose one of') although it looks like someone deleted the graphics that do with it.

Oh, well. I suppose I should be proud that even Blizzard stole my Javascript!

Oh and to see a very early example of it, visit http://stoneguardian.com/Morrowind/. I wrote the original code for the navigational menu back in 2002, and in the end of 2003 came up with a way to activate the onmousover to automatically pop up the sub-window. I did get the original idea from sites where you right-click and get a dialog box. I decided it would be cool to have a nav window instead.

Sorry, just gotta toot my own horn sometimes!
