MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You sir are about to be ownt!

Welcome to the World of Warcraft Friends and Family Alpha. You are receiving
this e-mail because ******** at Blizzard Entertainment has recommended you to
participate in this confidential test of the World of Warcraft.

An account has been created for you with the following details:

Username: *******
Password: ********

Please take a moment to review the important information contained in this
e-mail for instructions on how to activate your account, download the client and
connect to our server. Thank you for helping us test World of Warcraft!

Testing Goals & Schedule:

The Friends and Family test will last for several weeks. During that time, we
may focus testing on different areas of the game, and there may be periods where
the Alpha may not be up and running. Please refer to the Friends and Family
website for details on scheduled testing and planned outages. The goal of this
test is to stress our servers under typical user conditions. Please keep in mind
that you are playing an Alpha of the game, and as such you will no doubt notice
balance issues, unimplemented features, and other rough edges. Please use the
/suggest and /bug commands (or click on the bug icon in the interface bar) to
send feedback, or post your feedback to the Friends and Family website listed
below.

Please remember that this program and the game are confidential, and you are
responsible for helping keep it that way. You are bound by the Alpha Test
Agreement (NDA) which you signed and returned to Blizzard to activate your
account, and you should take care to ensure the security of the game. Do not
play the game in a public place or workplace. Do not transport the game on a
laptop, and do not disclose any information about the game to anyone outside the
program. We strongly urge you not to play World of Warcraft on any computer that
has File Sharing software installed. Doing so poses a security risk. Do not
share your account with others.

Basic Requirements:

You must activate your account by signing on to the Friends and Family website
at https://12.129.232.213/login.aspx and downloading the Alpha Test Agreement
(also called the NDA) and faxing it back to Blizzard at (949)725-1122. You must
also enter the IP address of the computer from which you will be playing World
of Warcraft.

(Note that you will not be able to click on the link above without receiving a
security error. Instead, you should cut and paste the link into your browser,
click "yes" when the security certificate dialogue is displayed)

The system requirements for this Alpha are:

PC: 800mhz or better PC running Windows 98/Me/2000/XP, 256megs RAM, 2 GB of free
disk space, and a GeForce 2 or better video card.

MAC: 867mhz G4 or faster processor running Mac OS X 10.2.8 or higher, 256 MB
RAM, 2 GB of free disk space and a GeForce 2Mx or better video card.

NOTE: Your IP address may change from time to time, you can re-visit the Friends
and Family website anytime to update your IP address. If you are having trouble
logging into the game, your IP address has most likely changed.

How to Obtain, Install and Run the Game once we have received your NDA and
activated your account:

- Log into the Friends and Family website at https://12.129.232.213/login.aspx
and click on the "download updater" link.
- Select where you would like to download the World of Warcraft updater.
- Locate the updater on your computer and double-click the file.
- The update will unzip into a World of Warcraft directory.
- Open the World of Warcraft directory and double-click on the wow.exe icon.
- The updater will download World of Warcraft (~1.7 GB, or a couple hours on a
cable modem).
- You may now log into World of Warcraft with the name and password previously
provided to you. You will be accepted into the game if you have met the
requirements stated above and when we have acknowledged the receipt of your NDA.
- After the patcher finishes checking your version of the game, click on the
"Play World of Warcraft" button to proceed. (You can ignore the "can't connect"
status message at the bottom of the patcher, you should be able to play
normally. For proper server status, please check the Friends and Family website
at https://12.129.232.213/login.aspx).
- Make sure you have "Friends and Family" selected from the "choose realm"
button if it is not already selected.
- Click the Login button, create a character and enjoy the game.

you have entered your IP information on the Friends and Family website.
Even after we have received your NDA, it can take 24-48 hours to activate your
account. You can check on the status of your NDA by logging into the Blizzard

experience up to a fifteen minute delay for updating your IP information.

address you may need to update your IP address more often.)

to acknowledge the change.
