Do you think the down time on blood dk tanks in mop looks ok or is it bad ... aZ0E#gid=0
that is the spreadsheet i been looking at. and do u think monks tank will be needed for 10 man and 25 man raiding ?

to me it look crap cos 30% down time on the best one.

If anything just look at your dmg output compared to other tank classes. Right now I think it's kind of close (compared to Prot Pally atleast). The main thing you don't want is having a much lower damage output than a diff tank class so let just hope Blizz keeps things close to the point of not having to sit a tank based on dmg output.

Other than that, as far as the 'downtime' issue goes:

The percent of downtime on this spreadsheet isn't really an issue. When you're playing a Blood DK it's not really "Patchwerk mode" for the most part anyways. There is a lot of timing and decision making that goes into when to Death Strike and use your runes.

Also, just because the DPS output gives you "downtime" doesn't mean there isn't anything left to do with your runes. You have things like Rune Tap that don't necessarily do damage, but they can be game changers.

On top of managing your many cds (DRW / Bone Shield / IBF / AMS / Death Pact / Lichborne / Army / Vamp Blood / etc) you shouldn't be searching for much to occupy your time. You should be pressing something every single GCD.
