BIG DEBATE in my guild atm. I've asked several top end holy paladins and none seem to know the answer. So...does Divine protection mitigate damage from HoS? I know that it didn't in wrath, but there seems to be mixed opinions about it in Cata. Thanks in advance

So we messed around with how sac worked a long time(mainly trying to figure out if it changed damage type depending on what it absorbs) ago but i don't know if we originally tested Divine Protection with it. I went out and did some rough testing with it on a few mobs with a friend and i don't think Divine Protection reduces the damage at all unfortunately. Had a mob transferring ~1200 fire dmg on hit with just sac up, poped a glyped Divine Protection and still got ~1200 sac transfers.

As a side not if you are using Sac on someone taking physical dmg you can BOP yourself and you will take 0 dmg transfers just like bubble for the duration of BOP.
