Hey Nodozz,

I've been struggling during Heroic Yor'sahj for a couple of weeks now and was wondering if you could take a quick look at my Holy Paladin and maybe some logs and give me a couple tips on how I could improve my gameplay.

Thanks.

Logs:

More logs can be found at http://www.worldoflogs.com/guilds/7133/ but if you don't feel like looking at any logs that is perfectly fine with me.

The fight mostly depends on how your guild handles certain combinations. Anything without purple your going to be using Holy Radiance and Light of Dawn. For progression heroic Yorsahj I highly recommend all healers put a heavy emphasis into helping to dps, I even went http://www.wowhead.com/talent#sMIRdrdhudkhbZc for our first kill helping to dps slimes and the boss as there are MASSIVE periods of time where 0 healing is required. I strongly encourage you discussing this with the other healers. Depending on what slime combinations you get will vary greatly what your healing breakdown looks like. Make sure you are using hand of sac and Aura Mastery accordingly. Green, Red, Yellow, Black (Kill Green) Results in Massive Raid AE and AM is best served here in addition to Wings/Divine Favor. It may be tempting to use Guardian on a combination like this due to the amount of damage coming out but you need to be disciplined keep holy radiancing and light of dawning, if mana is tight weave holy shock AND crusader strike for the cheap holy power and use guardian during ONLY during purple (preferrable purple with a red/yellow combo), a WOG on the tank is huge for keeping them up with the copied heal and the splash both of which dont cause stacks. Always use guardian on purple. Only use torrent/plea on blue after the mana drain (Sac tank when you plea). Always Save LOH for Purple on a tank, it doesnt cause a stack and is Amazing to top off that 10% hp tank with 4 stacks.

This is how we handle purple:
Nodozz wrote:Its pretty important that as a holy paladin you arent assigned to doing tank stacks for purple. Idealy you have 2 Holy Paladins in the raid, both beacon the first tank and when the 2nd tank taunts one of you moves your beacon to the new tank. I spam divine light/holy light my group and use holy shock and crusader strike on cd for holy power for Wogs on TAnks. Assign a shaman to do Tank debuffs and you just rifle beacon heals and wogs on tanks which dont cause stacks. Also if its an issue, you can guardian and the guardian heal AND SPLASH both dont trigger a stack. Use hand of sac and ps accordingly.

Your gear/gemming/reforging are perfect, I would recommend the spec alteration and a greater healer emphasis on dps'ing, If you have specific questions about handling a certain color combination let me know.

So far the only trouble we are having is when we get two PURPLE - YELLOW - RED - BLACK in a row. We aren't exactly sure on how to handle this. We ended up killing yellow both times and ended up wiping at 18%.

EDIT: Heroic Yor'sahj finally down! Thank you Nodozz for the great advice you have given me!
