Compiled list of Patch notes for Phase 3

Ok so I was bored and decided to put everything we know about the next patch in one place, Enjoy :)


    Class changes

    Shaman

  • Area of effect has increased for several Totems.
  • A new totem has been added.

    Druids
  • The damage has been increased for Thorns.
  • The camera view will change appropriately when shapeshifted.


    Rogues
  • The damage has been increased for Backstabs, a new finishing move is being added. (Do rogues really need BS dmg?)

    Warriors
  • Charge has an added stun component.
  • A new Berserker stance is being added.

    Mages
  • Detect Magic will no longer cause hate.
  • Fireballs will now have an added component to cause a little bit of damage over time. (Could this be a splash effect?)

    Priests
  • Many heals will get a mana reduction.
  • A few new spells being added.

    Warlock
  • The cooldown for Banish will be reduced to 20 minutes.
  • The Voidwalker’s melee damage will be increased


    Paladins
  • Seals of Might & Wisdom are to become Auras.
  • Crusader Strike is to become an instant and will be independent of weapon speed.
  • Healing Aura will no longer accumulate hate.
  • Bug Fix: Seal of Sacrifice will no longer share spell interruption.


    Servers
  • Theres a new Faction vs Faction (FvF or HvA) being added. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/bas ... ypes.shtml


    Guilds
  • More tabard designs will be available with the next patch.
  • A new Guild Management system. (Finally more designs!!) http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/bas ... dtab.shtml

    Mail
  • The mail system was created was to provide
    an option for players to trade items to themselves (i.e. from character to character). http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/basics/mail.shtml

    Inns Tired? Need a nap?
  • Players will no longer need to check into an inn in order to rest when visiting one of the six main cities.
    1. Darnassus
    2. Ironforge
    3. Orgrimmar
    4. Stormwind
    5. Thunder Bluff
    6. The Undercity
  • Players will still need to see the innkeeper to bind themselves to the city, or to receive their initial hearthstone.
  • In the initial implementation of “Cities as Inns,” some areas outside of the city will also allow for resting.

    Locked Characters?
  • Old characters will be unlocked for the next patch!
  • Skill points have been assigned to each character by the development team.
  • The amount of skill points assigned to each character will be based on the character’s level, minus any skill points already used for tradeskills taken by that character.

    Maps
  • A few new maps added.

    Graveyards
  • A few more graveyards are being added.
  • There will be two new graves added to The Barrens (yay no more 10 minute run from XR to RFK)


    Auction Houses
  • Auction Houses will be placed in each major city
    1. Stormwind
    2. Ironforge
    3. Darnassus
    4. Ogrimmar
    5. Thunderbluff
    6. Undercity
  • These Auction Houses will be faction specific, allowing Alliance to trade with Alliance and Horde to trade with Horde.
  • There will be one non-faction based Auction House in Booty Bay.
  • The Booty Bay Auction House will have the same functionality as the aforementioned faction based Auction Houses, with the additional capability of allowing trade between Horde and Alliance characters.
  • Sellers will be able to place their items up for bid.
  • Buyers will be able to search for items.
  • Sellers will be able to set minimum prices on their items.
  • Buyers will be able place bids on items.
  • Item’s won will be delivered through the new in-game mail system for pickup.

"everything we know" = Confirmed by blizzard

Don't ask questions that aren't answered above....since it will all be speculation and thats not what this is for.

Alright... Sorry. But this is a direct quote from Kat:

Confirmed? No, and you'll also notice she talks about every other class being able to get a non combative pet.

Thanks Z for posting this info, as I've been very curious about the guts of the patch. :)

Rogues: hmm. I would think that with cheap shot giving out two combo points that is why no one really uses backstab. Granted, I don't have any of the upper end rogue spells, but imo I'm glad that they're looking at bs. It annoys me that I don't use certain spells and that I've spent money on them to check 'em out. ;) And we get a new finishing move?!! Sweet. :)

Priests' fixes look nice: mana reduction on usage, and does new spell mean that some sort of crowd control is readministered here? I hope so.

I'm wondering when/if "slow" will be given and to which class, I would guess mage but mage already has various slowing spells.

it will be the necromancer class with animate dead, unholy frenzy, and CRIPPLE as ur slow spell :D

hunter will NOT be implemented next push. they posted that on the Bnet WoW forums not the beta forums but it was posted by Kat. and i think there was something about the auction houses not being ready yet so dont count on them just yet
