Well Played

Now that the dust has settled a bit, I decided to take the time and write a news post to keep everyone in the loop.

Blood Legion has been around since the launch of WoW, and has always been at the top of the PvE scene. Since 2011, we've been pushing the envelope and putting in countless hours of preparation towards competing for World Firsts.

Over the years, many people of the guild have gotten married, some have had children, others have moved on to new jobs/schools, and all of the other things that life throws our way.

We have always had a very small roster when it comes to raiding, and when these life issues come into play, along with others having less of a desire to push the insane hours, number of alts, etc., it became very clear that we needed to cut back on the hours and change the direction of the guild.

Our part in the race to World First has ended. We may enter the fray once again down the road. Blood Legion has been an active guild and part of the Illidan community since day 1. We will continue to do so until the day they close down the server. Thank you to everyone who supported our quest to win. We appreciate every one of you. And to all former, present, and future Blood Legion members. May you always remember what this guild did for you and what you did for this guild.

Thanks Again.

Mar'gok Down, Highmaul Cleared!

Well, not our best work, but we got the job done. That being said, things are definitely looking up going into Foundry. We've made some key roster adjustments and are looking for 1-2 more exceptional players to round out our roster. If you think you're up to the task and ready to push hard in Foundry, check out our recruitment section and throw in an application.

Blackhand awaits.

Mists of Pandaria Finished! Garrosh down!
Posted by Riggnaros on October 3, 2013, 10:51 pm
Well, talk about a marathon...

This tier's myriad high and lows reflected the great variance in difficulty from boss to boss, with some bosses being killed in one attempt and others taking several days to down. Overall, we enjoyed this race and are happy that the final few bosses each presented a substantial challenge, given the speed with which the first few wings of the instance were cleared. In the future however, we hope that no single tier will have more than twelve bosses. Fourteen was a bit too many.

The Mists of Pandaria expansion marked the beginning of a new era for Blood Legion. We firmly established ourselves as competitors on the world stage for World of Warcraft PvE, and entered the larger e-sports community through our partnership with Team Razer. Now that we have completed this expansion's final raiding tier, we turn our focus to the epic adventures and festivities that BlizzCon will surely offer in November. From then we shall surely enjoy our well-deserved rest before preparations for the new expansion begin !

Blood Legion now a part of Team Razer!

Here we are, about to step into another progression tier and yet again push everything to the limit. Siege of Orgrimmar looks to be more of a marathon than a sprint. After months of PTR testing and more spreadsheets than I would like to admit, we are as prepared as we will ever be and just ready to get in and get busy.

Going into this tier we have more motivation than ever. Our new partnership with Razer along with a strong roster have us chomping at the bit to get in there and get things started.

Hopefully it turns out to be a good race between our European and Russian friends. We are looking forward to the competition and seeing who can pull off the finish for World First.

Best of luck to everyone involved. GLHF
